The "Wine Route-Afluente Rural" Community is located South of Burgos Province. It includes Gumiel de Izán, La Aguilera, Gumiel de Mercado, Sotillo de la Ribera, Pinillos, La Horra, Olmedillo, Anguix, Roa, Pedrosa de Duero, Valcabado de Roa, Boada de Roa, Quintanamanvirgo and Guzmán.

These towns and villages are few kilometers away from Aranda de Duero, in Burgos, halfway between the city of Burgos and Madrid.

The Community is crossed by Duero river, which has helped with the expansion of vine crops in the area, where diverse landscapes and climates are found.
